FAQ

Common questions

Everything restaurant owners ask before starting. Missing a question? Write to us.

Does Flavoso take commission per order?

No. You pay a fixed price for your channel. Whatever your guests order stays 100% with you.

Do I need my own website?

No. You get your own ordering page. If you already have a site, embed Flavoso with one line of code.

How do payments work?

You connect your own payment account (e.g. PayPal, Stripe or Mollie) or take payment on-site. Flavoso never holds other people's money, it goes straight to you.

How long does setup take?

Most are live within half an hour. The assistant asks you one question at a time. Find your restaurant, import the menu, embed it, done.

How does the trial work?

You get 14 days free with every feature of your plan. You add a payment method up front, but nothing is charged until the 14 days are up, and you can cancel any time before that at no cost.

Can I cancel monthly or switch plans?

Yes. Every plan can be cancelled monthly and simply runs out at the end of the billing month. Upgrades and downgrades work anytime via the subscription portal in settings.

Can guests order while I'm closed?

Yes, with pre-orders. Guests pick a requested time (e.g. tomorrow 6:30 pm); you control lead time, the time grid and how far ahead they may order. The kitchen sees the requested time on every ticket.

Can delivery run on different hours than pickup?

Yes. You can set separate delivery hours per weekday, e.g. delivery from 5 pm while pickup already runs at lunch. Without separate hours, your regular opening hours apply.

Does Flavoso work with my POS?

Honest answer: there is no ready-made integration with any particular register today. ready2order, Square, Zettle and SumUp are prepared, but we have no experience with them yet and cannot promise it will work with your register. That is why the Premium plan lists the connection as “on request”: tell us which register you have and we sit down with you. What definitely works today is in EVERY plan: every order reaches you as a webhook or an e-mail and lands on the kitchen display anyway.

How does my menu get into the system?

Upload a PDF, a photo or plain text. The import detects categories, dishes and prices automatically. Then you fine-tune everything in the dashboard.

What hardware do I need?

Nothing special. The kitchen display runs in the browser on any tablet or screen, and QR cards print on a normal printer.

What are several receipt printers for?

So each station only gets its own part: the kitchen the hot dishes, the bar the drinks, the pizza oven the pizzas. Instead of one slip somebody carries across the room, each station prints its own. Pro has one printer, Premium up to four.

Does the printer load my internet connection?

No. It asks every 30 seconds whether there is anything to print, and that question is a few hundred bytes. That is around 2,900 requests a day and together less than a single photo. What matters more to you: the printer calls us, we never call it. You open no port and change nothing on your router.

Does this give my guest their receipt?

No, and that is deliberate. What comes out of the receipt printer is a kitchen slip: dish, quantity, options, table. No price and no tax. The fiscal receipt required by German law (§ 146a AO) comes from your register with its certified security module, because only that may issue one. Flavoso is not a register and does not want to be.

Is Flavoso GDPR compliant?

Yes. Hosted in the EU, your data stays yours, with export and deletion built in. Guest data is never resold to platforms.

Does it work with Wix, WordPress & co.?

Yes. One line of embed code works anywhere you can paste custom code: Wix, Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, Jimdo or a plain HTML page.

Which languages can guests order in?

The storefront speaks five languages from day one: German, English, French, Spanish and Italian.
